Following concerns expressed by the The Worthing Society over the lack of visibility of the RNLI Memorial Stone from the footpath south of Denton Gardens, the Council set to work to rectify the problem. Judy Fox, Jo Malandain, Lisa O’Neil from Place and Economy and Chris Curry from the Car Parks Team were joined by Gill Tucker from the Worthing Society. A few hours of weeding, clearing and some heavy duty pruning of the overgrown Tamarisk trees and the site was transformed revealing the memorial stone in all its glory.
