A Blue Plaque Commemorating the Life of Pat Baring
(Pioneering Local Conservationist)

On the 27th of September 2018 a blue plaque was unveiled at The Old White House , 2 Church Walk , Worthing where she lived from 1963 until her death in 1982.

Following the unveiling a reception was held at The Alexandra , 28 Lyndhurst Road.Pat Baring will long be remembered for her fight to preserve many of Worthing’s outstanding architectural gems.

She founded The Worthing Civic Society and became its Chairman in 1979.
