Thursday 13 June at 2pm – Guided Heritage Walk of the Town Centre Blue Plaques

As part of the Worthing Festival, Sue Belton is leading a guided walk of the Town Centre Blue Plaques on Thursday 13 June at 2pm.

Blue Plaques are installed in a public place to commemorate a link between that location and a person of significance, (either locally or national). On this walk we will visit 11 of the 15 town centre plaques. Sue Belton, Chair of the Worthing Society will lead the walk and explain who these people were, what they did, and why they were awarded a Blue Plaque.

The walk will start from the entrance to the Pier by the Denton on the seafront.  The walk will take approximately 1.5 hours and will finish at Pizza Express, where there will be the option to purchase Tea/coffee and other refreshments.

Cost of the guided walk is £5 per person.
