Beach Shelter – West Buildings
Sue Belton spoke at the Planning Meeting on 21.9.23. We are pleased
to tell you that the plans to demolish the Locally Listed Beach Shelter
(south of West Buildings) to construct a two storey restaurant on the
beach were unanimously refused. An excellent result as approval of the
plans could have set an unwelcome precedent and harmed our traditional
coastal views.
Farncombe Road
The Farncombe Road lamp post: after a long period of liaison with the
Council Engineer power to the lantern has now been restored. It looks
great!
Montague Place
Montague Place: we contributed to the Montague Place consultation
suggesting a central garden effect and are pleased to advise that the Council have taken
this idea on board for this important area which will now have a central garden area.
