Adur and Worthing Council successfully challenged the Inspectors decision to permit Persimmon to develop this site. This was on the grounds that the Inspector had given insufficient weight to the draft Local Plan which designated this area and land as green space and also the impact on South Downs National Park.
Persimmon have challenged the decision in the Court of Appeal – we await a date for the Hearing of this Appeal.
