The Mayor's Visit The Mayor of Worthing, Cllr. Dr. Heather Mercer attended the Worthing Society Meeting on Feb 26th 2008 and addressed the members. She spoke about the 25 years of the Worthing Society and the important role it plays as the 'watchdog' for Conservation and Restoration in Worthing. After the mayor's address David Brock, Regional Director of English Heritage, spoke about Castle Goring, Worthing's Grade I listed building, which is on the 'At Risk Register'. Also in attendance was James Appleton, Head of Planning for Worthing Borough Council. |
